NADRA Expands Service Hours to Improve Access for Karachi Residents
Karachi,– NADRA has extended working hours at its Shahrah-e-Quaideen centre. Starting December 22, the centre will operate from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily.The centre will run in two shifts. The morning shift is from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The evening shift is from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The new schedule aims to make registration and document services more accessible for citizens.
Alongside the extended hours, NADRA has launched a dedicated registration drive for minority communities across Pakistan. Running from December 18 to December 23, the campaign seeks to ensure accurate and updated records for minority groups. Mobile registration vans are visiting communities, while special counters at NADRA centres provide dedicated assistance for minority citizens.

NADRA has also introduced services for Pakistani citizens residing abroad. A mobile registration team is visiting Dammam, Saudi Arabia, in coordination with the Pakistan Embassy. The team will operate on December 19 and 20 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm local time at Tamimi New Camp, Dhahran, Eastern Province. The initiative targets overseas Pakistanis requiring CNIC and family registration services.
Recent reforms in Karachi include the opening of 24/7 registration centres in Malir Cantt, Malir, and Surjani Town for CNIC and family registration services. Launched a mobile biker service that delivers ID documents to homes in Karachi, Hyderabad, and Mirpurkhas for a fee of PKR 1,000. Additionally, the authority has implemented digital and policy updates, such as biometric B-Forms for children above three, upgraded Family Registration Certificates (FRCs), and allowing married women to retain their father’s name on CNICs.
NADRA officials emphasized that these measures aim to enhance accessibility and efficiency for citizens. The expanded hours, mobile services, and specialized drives reflect ongoing efforts to modernize registration processes and provide inclusive services for all Pakistanis.
