Pakistanis Jobs in Italy: Italy Approves 10,500 Employment Opportunities

Italy has officially allocated 10,500 jobs for Pakistani workers. The opportunity covers both seasonal and non-seasonal employment over the next three years.

The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis confirmed the allocation. Federal Minister Chaudhary Salik Hussain had requested the quota from Italian authorities. The jobs will be available in shipbreaking, hospitality, healthcare, and agriculture.

Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Chaudhary Salik Hussain, personally appealed to Italian authorities for this allocation. Following the approval, the quota is structured to support Pakistani workers in diverse industries, ensuring stable and lawful employment abroad.

Italy Opens 10,500 Jobs for Pakistanis Jobs in Italy

According to the Ministry, 3,500 Pakistani workers will travel to Italy annually under this program. The allocation includes:

  • 1,500 seasonal jobs to support short-term employment needs.

  • 2,000 non-seasonal jobs for long-term positions.

The remaining positions will be distributed under sector-specific arrangements, ensuring that various industries in Italy benefit from Pakistan’s skilled and semi-skilled workforce.

Sectors and Positions

The job opportunities cover multiple sectors, including shipbreaking, hospitality, healthcare, and agriculture. Pakistani workers will be employed in key roles such as:

  • Welders and technicians for industrial and technical positions.

  • Chefs, waiters, and housekeeping staff for hospitality and service sectors.

  • Nurses and medical technicians in healthcare.

  • Farmers and agricultural workers in Italy’s farming industry.

This structured approach ensures that both skilled and semi-skilled workers can access quality overseas employment, strengthening Pakistan’s presence in Europe.

Significance of the Initiative

Italy has become the first European country to formally allocate a dedicated employment quota for Pakistan, marking a historic moment in bilateral labor relations. The initiative is expected to:

To further strengthen cooperation, the second Pakistan–Italy Joint Working Group meeting is scheduled in Islamabad in February 2026. This meeting will review progress, expand collaboration, and explore additional employment opportunities.
